Head of Sales

Salary:£125,000 base (£300,000.00+ OTE). Uncapped.

Location:London – must be based within the UK. 50%+ travel.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a Sales Leader who has previously worked within the Data and AI sector and has the ability to develop and execute sales strategies that align with business goals and drive long-term growth. We want someone to lead by example, not just manage the team. You will have extensive experience selling professional services and a deep understanding of complex sales.

What will you do?

Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Sales will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s sales strategies to drive business growth. In addition to leading a talented team of sales professionals, you will also be accountable for Advancing Analytics’ pipeline, supported by the team and established relationships from both Microsoft and Databricks. Your leadership will be key in scaling the business, entering new markets, and building strong relationships with clients.

Skills and Approaches:

Strategic Sales Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company objectives.
  • Lead and mentor the sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our client base.
  • Excellent communicator and presenter.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients.
  • Understand clients business needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and lead initiatives for client retention and growth.

Business Development:

  • Identify market trends and opportunities to drive business growth.
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for new services and solutions.
  • Collaborate with marketing to create compelling sales collateral and campaigns.
  • Work with Microsoft and/or Databricks directly or as a partner to drive joint opportunities.
  • Show deep understanding of our key markets – Financial Services and Retail.

Team Management:

  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Set clear performance goals and provide regular feedback and coaching to ensure the team’s continuous improvement & professional growth.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Use insights to refine sales strategies and drive better outcomes.
