apetito | Wiltshire Farm Foods has been on an exciting journey to embed data at the heart of strategy and the data analytics team is leading the journey. We are exploring apetito’s rich data assets with the exciting new technologies and tools that are now available.

You will be a core member of the Data and Analytics team, a fantastic, close-knit team that is working on strategic data analysis and business intelligence projects across our businesses in UK, Ireland, and North American in both B2C and B2B businesses.

Reporting into the Senior Manager, Data Science and AI, you will explore the wide data sets to identify new insight and leverage new technologies to create capabilities that enable effective decision making and drive growth in the Wiltshire Farm Foods and other Apetito businesses.

You will work closely with the business stakeholders supporting their priorities and you will also identify business opportunities for driving growth, for efficiency improvement and for delivering superior customer satisfaction. This would need you to bring the insights to life with your storytelling skills to the business stakeholders and to the Board to help drive the necessary change.

This role has a clear requirement to be in the office for at least 2 days per week so you will need to live within or be willing to relocate to a reasonable commutable distance from our Trowbridge Head Office to be considered for this role.

apetito is the UK’s leading food supplier to the health and social care sectors serving more than 1,300 care homes, health care and education settings.

Our meals are expertly crafted by our dieticians and chefs, and then frozen to lock in the goodness.

Wiltshire Farm Foods, our sister company, is the UK’s largest ready meal supplier cooking and delivering over 330 different delicious frozen ready meals across the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Identify growth opportunities and operational efficiencies across B2C and B2B business segments.
  • Conduct forensic analysis to help answer questions from stakeholders and deliver strategic insights to support data-driven business decisioning.
  • Present compelling data stories to senior leadership and Board to drive business transformation.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across marketing, product, and operations to understand data needs and efficient solutions.
  • Gather, clean ad hoc data from various sources while ensuring data accuracy and quality, leveraging advanced analytics and AI technologies.
  • Track marketing performance with attribution modelling and provide quarterly acquisition forecasts.
  • Work closely with the data team to provide analytical support, champion best practice and contribute to shared goals.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.

About you

Essential:

  • Degree in Computer Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Science/ Engineering/ Business Analytics/ Business management / sciences related discipline.
  • You have a minimum of 1 year experience in a data analyst or similar analytical role with a proven record of delivering strategic insights.
  • Proficient inSQLandPythonfor data analysis, and automation and advanced statistical modelling.
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and presenting insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Numerate and enquiring mindset, an aptitude for problem solving and a keen desire to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and their practical applications in business
  • Commercial awareness with a good understanding of retail business operations and the customer journey.
  • Collaborative approach to teamwork and a drive to reach out and work across the business to create new opportunities.
  • Experience with A/B testing, experimental design, and causal inference methodologies.
  • As a change catalyst, you will bring a combination of enthusiasm, a Can-do approach, a keen sense of ownership and a keen focus on detail.

Desirable:

  • Experience with marketing attribution models and budget allocation analysis.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services and Databricks for data processing and analytics.
  • Experience with AI tools and Agentic AI systems.
  • Experience in retail, food service, or consumer goods industries.
  • Previous exposure to multi-market operations (UK, Ireland, North America).
  • Background in business consulting or marketing consulting.
