About the role

The Senior Data Analyst at ZAVA will be responsible for understanding, and helping others understand, how to optimize our products and services for patients across multiple locations. With millions of data points accumulated over 12 years of operation, the role involves leveraging this wealth of real-world experience to guide future decisions. The Senior Data Analyst will use insights from past data to inform and validate the direction of our future initiatives. They will create tools and dashboards to break down key drivers of product performance in clear, actionable ways and help define KPIs and end-to-end patient flows. This role will drive performance by surfacing insights, supporting tactical decisions, and influencing product strategy with a compelling, evidence-based narrative for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Accountabilities
  • Lead a collaborative problem-solving process to define meaningful, relevant, and easily understood KPIs around product performance.
  • Create end-to-end analyses and dashboards that visualise key metrics across product improvements, clinical, operations, marketing and other functions, transforming data into actionable insights.
  • Seek and validate trends in data that help the business grow by focusing on good patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand user behaviour through experimentation and testing.
  • Support A/B and multi-variate testing and other best-practice analytical techniques during feature development.
  • Identify tracking requirements to enable accurate reporting/measurement and work with developers to implement them.
  • Develop and maintain our business intelligence tools (DBT and Lightdash) by adding new metrics aligned with business interests and product development.
  • Act as a passionate ZAVA data advocate, inspiring others to embrace data through storytelling and evidence-based insights.
What we would love you to have

Technical skills & experience:

  • Strong SQL skills and experience with data warehouses (preferably AWS) and data transformation tools like ETLeap and DBT.
  • Strong experience with business intelligence tools such as Lightdash or similar.
  • Confidence in managing senior stakeholders (Heads of and C-suite) from across the business.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify anomalies and spot trends early.
  • Experience with web tracking tools (Segment/Google Analytics).

Nice to have (not essential):

  • Experience in the healthcare industry or a tech company
  • Experience with A/B testing tools and practical examples
  • Mentoring analysts
