We don’t chase hype cycles. We innovate, build and deploy responsible AI which moves the needle - and we know a thing or two about doing it well. We bring an unparalleled depth of technical, product and delivery expertise to our clients who span government, finance, retail, energy, life sciences and defence.

Our business, and reputation, is growing fast and we’re always on the lookout for individuals who share our intellectual curiosity and desire to build a positive legacy through technology.

About the team

Our National Security and AI Safety business unit is dedicated to advancing the responsible development and deployment of AI in support of national security and global stability. From strengthening mission-critical capabilities across national security and intelligence, to working with frontier labs to provide robust AI safety red teaming and evaluation, we work at the frontier of high-stakes, high-impact missions.

We understand that powerful AI systems bring both transformative opportunities and complex risks and we are proud to partner with Government and the biggest tech organisations in the world to ensure AI is not just transformative but is also secure, trustworthy and safe for all.

Because of the nature of the work we do with our Government clients, you may need to be eligible for UK Developed Vetting (DV) and willing to work on site with our clients from time to time.

About the role

As a Customer Director within our National Security and Safety business unit, you will be the primary commercial lead for a portfolio of high-stakes accounts, driving growth by enabling government partners to supercharge their operations through AI. You will act as a strategic architect, building deep networks of influence and trusted relationships with senior stakeholders to solve complex safety challenges.

By bridging the gap between cutting-edge AI and mission-critical customer needs, you will achieve ambitious sales targets while overseeing cross-functional teams to ensure delivery excellence.

What you'll be doing:

  • Developing strategy for the National Security sector to align account plans with broader business unit goals and the evolving safety needs of the UK.

  • Driving revenue by acquiring new government partnerships and nurturing existing relationships to meet and exceed ambitious sales targets.

  • Creating standout propositions by responding to RFPs and identifying strategic AI use cases that demonstrate long-term value to clients.

  • Managing client relationships at the most senior levels, acting as the lead advisor for tier-one accounts and influencing the future shape of their work.

  • Designing transformation programmes that blend sophisticated AI deployment with meaningful organisational change to support high-stakes decision-making.

  • Overseeing commercial teams, including Senior Managers and Associates, to ensure project success and the professional development of your staff.

  • Leading commercial negotiations and pricing proposals to ensure the successful onboarding and retention of critical national security accounts.

Who we're looking for:

  • You have extensive National Security experience and a network to match, ideally combining a history in government with private sector AI build and delivery work.

  • You possess a strong business development mindset and a proven track record of managing complex deal processes and achieving revenue targets.

  • You are technical, and expert in AI, and can compellingly translate technical AI and data-oriented concepts into clear, actionable strategies for technical senior leaders.

  • You are a proven leader of large, multidisciplinary teams that can command the respect of both technicians and delivery leads.

  • You have the ability to think strategically about digital transformation, creating business plans that address the unique challenges of government departments.

  • You demonstrate an entrepreneurial, proactive approach, with the agility to identify new opportunities and implement solutions across multiple high-stakes projects.

Where to Advertise Machine Learning Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Advertising machine learning jobs in the UK requires a different approach to most technical hiring. The candidate pool is small, highly specialised and in demand across AI labs, financial services, healthcare, autonomous systems and consumer technology simultaneously. Machine learning engineers and researchers move between roles through professional networks, conference communities and specialist platforms — not general job boards where ML roles compete with unrelated software engineering positions for the same audience. This guide, published by MachineLearningJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise machine learning roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.

New Machine Learning Employers to Watch in 2026: UK and Global Companies Driving ML Innovation

Machine learning (ML) has transitioned from a specialised field into a core business capability. In 2026, organisations across healthcare, finance, robotics, autonomous systems, natural language processing, and analytics are expanding their machine learning teams to build scalable intelligent products and services. For professionals exploring opportunities on www.MachineLearningJobs.co.uk , understanding the companies that are scaling, winning investment, or securing high‑impact contracts is crucial. This article highlights the new and high‑growth machine learning employers to watch in 2026, focusing on UK innovators, international firms with significant UK presence, and global platforms investing in machine learning talent locally.

How Many Machine Learning Tools Do You Need to Know to Get a Machine Learning Job?

Machine learning is one of the most exciting and rapidly growing areas of tech. But for job seekers it can also feel like a maze of tools, frameworks and platforms. One job advert wants TensorFlow and Keras. Another mentions PyTorch, scikit-learn and Spark. A third lists Mlflow, Docker, Kubernetes and more. With so many names out there, it’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking you must learn everything just to be competitive. Here’s the honest truth most machine learning hiring managers won’t say out loud: 👉 They don’t hire you because you know every tool. They hire you because you can solve real problems with the tools you know. Tools are important — no doubt — but context, judgement and outcomes matter far more. So how many machine learning tools do you actually need to know to get a job? For most job seekers, the real number is far smaller than you think — and more logically grouped. This guide breaks down exactly what employers expect, which tools are core, which are role-specific, and how to structure your learning for real career results.
