About the Role:

Are you passionate about making a difference in the field of neuromuscular diseases? Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Real World Data Scientist / Epidemiologist to join their dynamic Data & Statistical Sciences team for a 6-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to vital research that can impact the lives of those affected by conditions such as Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), and Facioscapulohumeral Dystrophy (FSHD).

What You'll Do:

In this engaging role, you will:

Study Design and Documentation: Craft comprehensive research plans and reports for non-interventional studies, utilising diverse data sources like disease registries, medical records, and claims data.

Data Source Assessment: Evaluate internal and external data sources for feasibility and quality, ensuring the best data is utilised for real-world studies.

Analytical Collaboration: Partner with the internal real-world data analytics team to define and refine study analyses. While advanced coding skills are not required, familiarity with R would be beneficial.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, including clinical science, medical affairs, regulatory, and safety teams, to develop study concepts, interpret data, and share findings.

Mentorship and Supervision: Work under the guidance of experienced real-world data scientists, contributing to a collaborative and supportive environment.

Skills Required:

Education: A minimum of an MSc in Epidemiology, Pharmacoepidemiology, or a related area (PhD preferred).

Experience: 1-3 years of hands-on experience in designing, writing protocols, and producing reports/manuscripts for real-world data studies. This experience may come from a pharmaceutical company, Contract Research organisation (CRO), or post-doctoral research.

Therapeutic Area Interest: Ideally, you will have direct experience in neuromuscular diseases (e.g., SMA, DMD) or a strong interest in these areas.

Safety and Effectiveness Studies: Experience with post-approval safety or effectiveness studies is a plus.
