Senior Real World Data Scientist / Epidemiologist

Proclinical is seeking a Senior Real World Data Scientist - Epidemiologist for a 6-month contract to support critical work in neuromuscular diseases such as Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), and Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy (FSHD). In this role, you will design, execute, and disseminate real-world data (RWD) studies while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to impactful research in a highly specialized therapeutic area.

Responsibilities:

Develop comprehensive research plans and reports for non-interventional prospective and retrospective studies using diverse data sources, including disease registries, medical records, and claims data. Assess internal and external data sources for feasibility, quality, and potential use in RWD studies. Collaborate with internal analytics teams to define and refine study analyses; familiarity with R is advantageous but not mandatory. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including clinical science, medical affairs, regulatory, access, and safety, to develop study concepts, interpret data, and share findings. Provide mentorship and work under the guidance of experienced real-world data scientists.

Key Skills and Requirements:

A minimum of an MSc in Epidemiology, Pharmacoepidemiology, or a related field; a PhD is preferred. Hands-on experience in designing, writing protocols, and producing reports or manuscripts for RWD studies, gained in a pharmaceutical company, CRO, or post-doctoral research setting. Interest or experience in neuromuscular diseases such as SMA, DMD, or FSHD. Experience with post-approval safety or effectiveness studies is a plus
