Job Title: Senior Data Analyst
Location: West Midlands (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £75,000

We are working with a fast-growing retail business based in the West Midlands to recruit a Senior Data Analyst. This role plays a critical part in delivering high-quality data insights to support commercial and trading decision-making across the business.
You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, trading, and finance to analyse product performance, customer behaviour, and pricing trends. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced analyst who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys translating data into strategic action.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse pricing, margin, channel, and product performance to support trading and commercial decisions
  • Deliver insight into customer behaviour, segmentation, and sales trends
  • Build dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI or Tableau to communicate findings
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and commercial outcomes through data
  • Work with large datasets from multiple sources, ensuring data accuracy and consistency
  • Support forecasting, performance tracking, and KPI reporting
  • Collaborate with data engineers and IT teams to ensure access to clean, reliable data
  • Present findings clearly and confidently to senior stakeholders and teams across the business
Key Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in data analysis, ideally in retail, FMCG, or another consumer-focused sector
  • Strong technical skills in SQL and Excel; experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Commercially minded with a strong understanding of trading metrics and performance drivers
  • Proven ability to turn complex data into clear insights and business recommendations
  • Comfortable working with stakeholders across commercial, marketing, and operational teams
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Exposure to Python, R, or basic data science techniques is a plus but not essential
