The Opportunity


At EDF, we’re on a mission to help Britain achieve Net Zero. As part of the Customers Finance team, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the financial health and strategic direction of one of the UK’s most essential energy businesses.

You’ll be part of our Wholesale Market Services (WMS) & EDF Business Solutions (EBS) Finance team, supporting a high-growth area that contributes significantly to EDF’s UK profitability. EBS supplies energy to medium and large businesses, public sector clients, and delivers metering services operating in four dynamic markets.

What you’ll be doing

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development and implementation of data governance frameworks for Gross Margin (£200m+) processes across EBS.
  • Designing and operating data validation tools to ensure high-quality inputs for forecasting and actuals.
  • Delivering detailed, accurate, and insightful Gross Margin reporting to support operational and strategic decisions.
  • Supporting the annual 4-Year Medium Term Planning process, challenging assumptions and shaping robust, value-driven financial plans.
  • Providing high-quality Business Partnering to senior stakeholders – translating complex data into clear recommendations.
  • Independently driving change and influencing cross-functional decisions that improve performance.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone with a blend of technical expertise, commercial awareness, and strong communication skills. You’ll be comfortable working with large volumes of data and translating that data into meaningful insights that support business decisions.

Ideally, you’ll bring solid experience in data governance, financial analysis, and interpreting large datasets. You should be confident using tools like SQL, Python, and Power BI to build models, reports, and dashboards that bring clarity to complex data.

Equally important are your interpersonal skills. You’ll be able to clearly present complex information to non-technical stakeholders, identify and resolve data or process issues, and manage competing demands effectively. A collaborative approach is key, along with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders and constructively challenge where needed.
