Role Overview

We are seeking a product owner to join our newly formed innovation lab, specifically focusing on transformational change powered by data and AI. These transformative projects aim to create a frictionless, data-first customer experience insurance using AI/ML technologies.

As the product owner on the lab you will aid discovery of new opportunities and ensure we are balancing the need for short term delivery against long term solutions whilst enabling a R&D mindset. The innovation teams will work as cross-functional teams to rapidly prototype and implement solutions with measurable commercial impact, targeting high value MVPs followed by phased implementation. Your responsibility will span over multiple products.

Work with the go to market teams to ensure that we rapidly release value while also having a suitable support model.

Key Responsibilities

Enable Data and AI Implementations: Enable the experimental teams to rapidly prototype, discover new approaches.Drive Data-First Approach: Design and implement solutions that minimise customer data entry while maximising data quality through external source integration and validationFast release of value:Be constantly considering ways of releasing value from the experimental work ensuring that it is suitably supported by the go to market teams.Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with underwriting SMEs, UX designers, and technical teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements and regulatory standards

Required Experience & Skills

Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with regulatory considerations for AI/ML in insurance, including fairness, explainability, and compliance requirementsRapid Delivery Focus: Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality solutions in fast-paced environments with tight deadlinesCommercial Acumen: Understanding of business metrics and ability to translate technical solutions into commercial value

Desirable Skills & Experience

Insurance Industry Experience: Experience working with insurance data, particularly in underwriting, pricing, or risk assessment for commercial linesAI/ML experience: Proven experience delivering products with a strong AI or data science emphasis.
