About the role:

The purpose of this job is to provide high quality administrative and secretarial support and guidance to the Unit M senior team. It acts as the primary point of contact for the CEO and Directors on administrative matters. During Unit M’s first phase, it will also act as primary administrative point of contact for staff and visitors.

What you can expect from the role:

Coordinating executive schedules and communication Managing and prioritising CEO and Directors’ diaries, emails, and correspondence.Acting as the primary point of contact for the CEO and Directors, filtering communications and maintaining a network of contacts. Developing administrative systems and managing correspondence Creating and maintaining systems for managing all incoming and outgoing correspondence.Updating and maintaining databases, archives, filing systems, and contact lists. Conducting research and preparing reports Undertaking project work and research analysis as required by the CEO and Directors.Preparing financial, research, and briefing documents for executive review and meetings. Planning meetings and supporting logistics Managing conflicting demands to plan productive meetings for the CEO and Directors.Assisting with the logistical aspects of events, ensuring preparedness and information dissemination. Organising travel and accommodation Arranging travel and accommodation for the team, both within the UK and internationally. Supporting HR administration and staff induction Maintaining accurate HR records and supporting the administrative process for staff appointments.Assisting with the implementation of new administrative systems and policies.Providing advice and training on systems, processes, and procedures for new staff.Building positive and mutually beneficial working relationships with academic and professional services colleagues across the University
