This position is based at our Head Office.You must live within a reasonable distance to the office or be willing to relocate by the role commencement date.

JobPurpose

As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in leveraging data to drive insights, optimise business performance, and support decision-making. You will work with existing data platforms while contributing to the development of an Azure-based data lake, ensuring seamless integration and enabling advanced analytics.

Your responsibilities will span across data extraction, cleaning, visualisation, and analysis, as well as collaborating with stakeholders to identify key business challenges and opportunities.

This role will require a bright and enthusiastic individual who has a proven track record of working in a data reporting team supporting all areas of the business. Candidates will need retail experience and a minimum 5 years IT experience of SQL SSIS and SSRS software. Strong communication is key for this role as you will be required to work with all levels of staff and across all departments within the business. You may be required to travel to and from sites and to partner offices.

Skills & Experience

Ability to prioritise when faced with multiple tasks. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data insights clearly to non-technical audiences. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills and experience of working in a service-orientated environment. Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing databases.

Responsibilities

Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for growth. Deliver actionable insights to stakeholders in finance, HR, IT, customer services, and marketing. Build interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, ensuring clarity and usability for non-technical users. Extract, clean, and transform data from existing platforms (e.g., ERP, CRM, or bespoke systems) Provide database and systems support for hosted information servers. Contribute to designing and implementing pipelines for Azure data lake. Partner with stakeholders across departments to understand their data needs and deliver tailored solutions.
