Business Intelligence Data Analyst who has experience in data analysis and visualisation using Excel Power BI, Tableau or similar tools, with strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate your findings to a non-technical audience is required for this well-established company.

SALARY: Circa£36,000 per annum

LOCATION: Hybrid with your time split working from home and the office in Gravesend, Kent (DA12) – candidates will need to live within a commutable distance to Gravesend

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 37 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a rare and exciting new job opportunity for a Business Intelligence Data Analystwho has experience in data analysis and visualisation using Excel Power BI, Tableau or similar tools, with strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate your findings to a non-technical audience.

Working as a Business Intelligence Data Analyst you will play a vital role in helping the company to understand what they do, how well they do it, and how they can improve – so they make a bigger difference in the lives of the people they work with.

As a Business Intelligence Data Analyst you will work with colleagues across the organisation to build practical, accessible dashboards, uncover insights, and help turn raw number into decisions impacting the real-world.

DUTIES

Your duties as a Business Intelligence Data Analyst include:

  • Create and manage data dashboards that provide real-time insights on service delivery, outcomes, and performance.
  • Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop reporting mechanisms that are accurate, meaningful, and useful for frontline services, managers, and commissioners.
  • Translate data into stories—turning complex findings into clear, compelling insights for decision-makers and non-specialists.
  • Support a data-informed culture across the organisation by advising on data collection, sharing good practice, and championing ethical, impactful use of data.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance, working within relevant frameworks (e.g., GDPR, public sector data standards).

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in data analysis and visualisation (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau or similar tools)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify meaningful trends and insights
  • Ability to communicate findings to a non-technical audience
  • Experience creating dashboards or reporting tools for internal use
  • Collaborative working style, with the ability to build relationships across teams
  • A commitment to using data as a tool for social impact and service improvement

DESIRABLE

  • Knowledge of public service settings such as justice, social care, health or housing
  • Experience working with sensitive data and safeguarding issues
  • Understanding of impact measurement, outcomes frameworks, or logic models
  • Familiarity with SQL, R, or Python (not essential but a bonus)
