Job Description
The Business Data Analyst will gather and analyse business requirements, translating them into actionable insights using IBM Cognos, Power BI , and other BI tools. Key responsibilities include:
Stakeholder Management - Engaging with teams to understand data needs and provide solutions.
Data Analysis & Interpretation - Identifying trends, patterns, and insights to drive decision-making.
BI Reporting & Visualisation - Creating reports and dashboards to present data effectively.
Collaboration with Data Teams - Working alongside data engineers and BI developers to ensure data accuracy and quality.
Testing & Documentation - Coordinating user testing, maintaining reports, and ensuring data governance.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have a strong background in business analysis with excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of gathering and translating business requirements into actionable data solutions. They should be proficient in IBM Cognos , Power BI , and advanced Excel skills, with a keen eye for detail and a disciplined approach to analysis and documentation. A proactive and self-motivated individual, they will be comfortable working with cross-functional teams and have the ability to manage time and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
