Data Engineer

We are working with a world leading E-commerce company who have a platform used by millions worldwide — and data is at the heart of it. Their systems already process thousands of messages per second, powering real-time learning, analytics, and reporting at global scale.

We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join the platform team. You’ll help design, build, and run pipelines and services on a modern data stack (Kafka, AWS, Iceberg, Kubernetes), collaborating with engineers, data scientists, and product teams across multiple regions.

• Build & maintain streaming and batch pipelines
• Ensure data is trustworthy, accessible, and reusable
• Implement schemas, contracts, and observability
• Support compliance with global data regulations

• Hands-on with Kafka/Pulsar/Kinesis
• Strong SQL & relational DBs (Postgres/MySQL)
• Coding experience in Java/Scala
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT and data modeling

Nice to have: Iceberg/Delta/Hudi, Airflow/Dagster/Prefect, Python/TypeScript, data governance.
