About Us

Ocado Group is a global technology leader reinventing retail through AI and Robotic Engineering. While our technology powers the world’s most advanced fulfilment centres, our people drive our international growth.

We are now launching a new Global Shared Service Centre in Sofia. This hub is the strategic heart of our international finance and people operations, and we are looking for excellent Accounts Payable Specialists to be part of our growing team.

The Opportunity

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you'll be a vital part of our finance department, playing a key role in keeping our day-to-day operations running smoothly. You'll learn the ropes of managing supplier invoices, ensuring payments are made on time, and resolving queries from both suppliers and our own Ocado colleagues.

This isn't just about processing numbers; it's about understanding how a large, successful business operates financially. You'll gain exposure to our financial systems, contribute to improving processes, and ensure everything we do is compliant with financial regulations and relevant Ocado policies. If you're ready to learn, grow, and make a real impact, this is the role for you!

Requirements

  • Monitoring our dedicated Accounts Payable inboxes to ensure all incoming invoices are handled and processed promptly.
  • Accurately entering a high volume of invoices and employee expenses into our financial system.
  • Verifying payment information and ensuring all invoices are correctly processed.
  • Matching invoices with purchase orders and resolving discrepancies.
  • Proactively chasing up invoices to secure the necessary payment approvals and preventing payment delays.
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any outstanding questions.
  • Assisting with the weekly BACS runs and other payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with security protocols.
  • Understanding how to accurately process manual payments.
  • Acting as a point of contact for our internal teams, resolving their finance-related queries with a service-oriented mindset.

Essential Criteria

We prioritize potential and desire to learn over years of experience This role is perfect for you if you are:

  • You are either a recent graduate (or final-year student) in Finance/Accounting ready to start your career, or an AP specialist looking to step into a senior role by taking ownership of complex processes and sharing your expertise with the wider team.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable navigating financial software (intermediate Excel skills are a significant advantage).
  • Analytical Problem-Solver: Naturally curious for data, you resolve discrepancies and find efficient solutions.
  • Detail-Oriented: You have a sharp eye for accuracy and don't miss a thing.
  • Organised: You can manage your workload and keep track of multiple tasks.
  • Collaborative Communicator: You can explain financial information clearly and thrive in a supportive team environment.

Why you should join us

Sofia is the cornerstone of our global operations. You will work in a fast-paced environment where your work directly impacts the stability and growth of our international teams.

What We Offer You:

  • Hybrid office attendance policy that sees you onsite 60% of your time
  • 30 days of “Work from anywhere” program
  • 25 days of annual leave
  • 150 EUR monthly allowance for wellbeing or flexible expenses
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity leave policy
  • Medical plan including health & dental coverage
  • Life and disability insurance
  • Employee assistance program

Where to Advertise Machine Learning Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Where to advertise machine learning jobs UK in 2026: the specialist boards and communities that reach ML, MLOps and deep learning engineering talent. The candidate pool is small, highly specialised and in demand across AI labs, financial services, healthcare, autonomous systems and consumer technology simultaneously. Machine learning engineers and researchers move between roles through professional networks, conference communities and specialist platforms — not general job boards where ML roles compete with unrelated software engineering positions for the same audience. This guide, published by MachineLearningJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise machine learning roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.

Machine Learning Jobs UK 2026: What to Expect Over the Next 3 Years

Machine Learning Jobs UK 2026: roles, salaries and the MLOps, LLM and generative AI hiring trends shaping UK ML careers over the next three years. Machine learning has undergone a transformation that few technology disciplines can match. In the space of three years it has moved from a specialism sitting at the edges of most organisations' technology strategies to a capability that sits at the centre of them. The tools have changed, the expectations have shifted, and the range of industries treating machine learning as a core business function — rather than an experimental one — has expanded dramatically. For job seekers, this creates both opportunity and complexity in roughly equal measure. The machine learning jobs market of 2026 is significantly larger than it was three years ago, but it is also significantly more demanding. Employers have developed more sophisticated expectations, the technical bar for specialist roles has risen, and the landscape of tools, frameworks, and architectural patterns that practitioners are expected to know has broadened considerably. The candidates who will thrive over the next three years are those who understand where the discipline is heading — which specialisms are attracting the most investment, which technologies are reshaping what machine learning engineers and researchers are expected to build, and how the definition of a machine learning career is evolving beyond the model-building core toward a much wider range of roles across the full ML lifecycle. This article breaks down what the UK machine learning jobs market is likely to look like through to 2028 — covering the titles emerging right now, the technologies driving employer demand, the skills that will matter most, and how to position your career ahead of the curve.
