Who You Are

We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking a customer-focused Solutions Engineer with a technical background to become a trusted customer advisor, partnering with many different teams and stakeholders across the organization.

What You'll Do

As a member of the Channel Solutions Engineering team, you will be primarily responsible for strategic initiatives that drive portfolio expansion and retention, directly or alongside a Geotab partner. This role requires the ability to showcase and adapt Geotab solutions for partners and end-users, by identifying and understanding customer needs and requirements. You will be involved in the development and customization of solutions using Geotab's open platform to meet unique requirements, supporting partners to overcome their solutioning challenges. You will foster deep partner relationships with an in-depth understanding of the needs of our strategic partners and customers, and guide the strategies with partners to identify and capitalize on opportunities for growth in their current service offerings.

How you'll make an impact

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the Geotab ecosystem, serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to empower end-users and partners and enhance their understanding of Geotab solutions.
  • Engage and collaborate with partners and end-users to optimize their utilization of Geotab's technology, products, and solutions, tailoring the approach to meet their specific needs.
  • Participate in and contribute to integration projects, working closely with partners, third-party integrators, and customers to ensure seamless implementation and deployment.
  • Assess and analyze partner and end-user business challenges, identifying Geotab’s viability and proposing alternative approaches when necessary.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company's offerings by providing partner and end-user feedback, providing opportunities to collaborate with Product Management teams.
  • Create and optimize data-driven dashboards for cross-functional use, facilitating informed decision-making and efficient collaboration with a focus on expansion and retention of existing customers.
  • Ensure partner and end-user satisfaction through prompt and accurate service, bolstering internal team support by providing additional insights and know-how.
  • Contribute to the Geotab revenue-generating teams to identify and deliver effective solutions for customer challenges, by working closely with partners, contributing to sales growth, ecosystem expansion and customer retention.
  • Support Geotab’s partner upskilling, driving them towards excellence to support customers, using best practices, and leveraging a deep understanding of industry verticals.

What you'll bring to the role

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of experience in a relevant technical field, such as software engineering, data analysis, or systems integration, with a focus on customer-facing roles or pre-sales.
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of telematics, IoT, APIs, and related technologies, working knowledge of hardware integrations is a bonus.
  • Strong skills in data analysis using SQL, as well as other tools for big dataset analysis such as BigQuery.
  • Experience with API integrations as well as scripting (Python, C#, Java...).
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques, as well as data visualization tools like Superset or Power BI.
  • Effective problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with the capacity to assess customer challenges and propose viable solutions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and customer support.
  • A customer-focused mindset, with a commitment to understanding client needs and delivering exceptional service.
  • Time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience with sales or business development, specifically with indirect sales channels.
  • Desire to stay relevant with emerging technology and the flexibility to adapt to growing market demands.
  • Ability to travel internationally.
