Solution Architect – AI & Machine Learning

Job Title: Solution Architect - Financial Crime Salary: Up to £85.8k £6k Car Allowance Join our community. A large retail banking client is looking for a Solution Architect to join their Architecture Team. You’ll gain incredible exposure across the business, working closely with other architecture teams (Enterprise, Cloud, Technical, Data & Security Architecture) and liaising with Business and IT colleagues, both locally and globally. The team works as an Architecture Community across domains, sharing reusable patterns and solutions, and curating new ones to keep the company competitive. If you’re passionate about creating practical, workable architectures aligned to IT principles and standards, then this role is for you. The difference you’ll make: Applying strong domain and Decision Driven Design experience, using frameworks like BIAN, TOGAF, ArchiMate, and API & microservice architecture solutions. Owning the end-to-end Solution Architecture, collaborating with other architecture disciplines and aligning with Domain Enterprise Architecture Strategy. Documenting complex As-Is / Transition / Target Architectures aligned with roadmaps. Establishing and maintaining Strategy/Roadmaps, aligning diverse stakeholders across different technologies and business areas. Knowledge of Digital/API/Micro-Services/Big Data/AWS/Azure/Cloud Architecture and relevant software packages. Experience in migrating from legacy technologies to new technologies. What you’ll bring: Experience in IT Systems Design and Solutions Architecture with strong knowledge in the financial sector, specifically Financial Crime (Detection, Monitoring, KYC/CRA, Sanctions Screening). Proven ability to create architectures aligned to IT principles and standards, following appropriate governance. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly. Experience in diplomatically challenging and influencing a diverse set of stakeholders. It would also be nice for you to have: Ability to deal with ambiguity and drive clarity/agreement. Good organizational and prioritization skills across competing demands. A ‘can do’ attitude and strong sense of initiative, with the ability to learn quickly and handle pressure. Ability to manage risks in a highly regulated environment. This is a permanent role based in Milton Keynes, with an expectation of at least 2 days in the office each week. How we’ll reward you: Competitive salary with a benefits package tailored to your needs. 8% pension contribution, rising to 12.5% if you contribute as well, with an option to take some contribution in cash. 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, increasing to 31 days after 5 years of service, with an option to purchase up to 5 contractual days per year. £6,000 car allowance per year.
