A leading global financial services firm is seeking a talented Data Analyst to join their enterprise Data team, with a specific focus on supporting the Compliance business stream. The salary on offer for this Data Analyst Role, is up to £100,000 + Bonus and Benefits package.

The company works a hybrid model, with 3 days per week in the office, close to major tube stations including Liverpool Street.

As a Data Analyst you will:

As a Data Analyst embedded in the Compliance stream, specifically with a risk management, you’ll serve as the vital link between the business and technology. You'll collaborate with data creators, owners, and consumers to ensure data assets are defined, maintained, and leveraged to unlock value across the organisation.

Your work will contribute to process automation, enhanced reporting capabilities, and improved decision-making, helping ensure regulatory and compliance goals are met efficiently and effectively. Your role will be vital in cleansing and the enrichment of data for entrepreneurial business leaders and citizen developers with the tools to interrogate data sets to explore and unlock opportunities for new or data-driven products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse structured and unstructured datasets across the Compliance domain.
  • Map data flows, storage, and usage, aligning with best practices in governance and data architecture.
  • Support data ingestion into the firm’s central data platform and ensure high-quality modelling for BI and ML applications.
  • Maintain and improve a central data catalogue.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and process improvement through data insights.
  • Design and implement robust data models and reporting structures.
  • Automate validation processes to enhance data quality and integrity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve data-related issues.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong background in data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical).
  • Proficient in SQL and Power BI (including DAX and data modelling).
  • Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT tools, and scripting (Python, PowerShell).
  • Familiar with data warehouse structures and quality assurance processes.
  • Knowledge of Sprints/Agile methodologies and tools like Jira.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
