ServiceNow Data Architect - Glasgow, UK
Contract Position: 12 Month PAYE Contract | £528.48 per day | Hybrid (3 days in office)
About the Role

A major investment bank is seeking an experiencedServiceNow Data Architectto join their Enterprise Technology & Services team. This critical role will oversee the data infrastructure architecture related to the firm's IT Service Management (ITSM) framework.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the data design of the firm's Configuration Management Database (CMDB) through operationalization of the Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
  • Assess, design, and manage data architecture with focus on efficiency, effectiveness, and policy compliance
  • Identify and track internal and external data sources
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to validate data needs and maintain CMDB hygiene
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture guidelines and technology strategy
  • Establish data architecture working group frameworks
  • Support triage and prioritization of new or changing requirements
  • Create and present CMDB design and data movement architecture reports
  • Conduct regular audits to assess compliance with approved design standards
  • Coordinate with platform, archiving, data quality, and data security management teams


Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a data architect or leading a team with a data architect
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with ServiceNow
  • Experience with ITSM functions including Incident, Problem, Request, Change, Release, IT Asset, Knowledge, and Reporting
  • Experience in financial services or similarly regulated industries
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks and best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with methodical approach to distributed systems
  • Ability to collaborate with globally distributed teams
  • Strong analytical skills with creative approach to problem solving
  • Understanding of various technology implementation methodologies
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with strong ownership and accountability


Preferred Qualifications

  • ServiceNow Admin and ServiceNow developer certifications
  • ITIL certification
  • Program Management and/or Agile development experience
  • Financial industry experience

  • Glasgow, UK
  • Hybrid working arrangement (3 days in office)
  • 12-month PAYE contract
  • Day rate: £528.48
