Job Description About the role Our Platform Tribe is building the foundations for Wise’s rapid pace of innovation and customer trust. By providing an internal platform as a product, we create a best-in-class developer experience, enabling our engineers to release new features fast and confidently, without compromising reliability and security. Our internal platform covers the whole software development life cycle from cloud infrastructure to local development, CI/CD, SRE, Security or Machine Learning. The Security Squad is part of the Platform Tribe and offers a comprehensive suite of products that make sure we manage our security risks through governance, we detect and protect Wise from unauthorised access, and we respond to and recover fast from security incidents. Vulnerability Management, Threat Management, Change Management, Access Management and Compliance are core products and strategic themes of the Squad. We are looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager to drive the evolution of our Security Squad. You will lead the overall product vision and strategy, overseeing multiple engineering teams and working closely with your Product Lead and the Chief Information Security Officer. In this role you will be embedded into a wider team of Platform Product Managers and leverage your product mindset to ensure the Security Squad is always working on the biggest opportunities that bring Wise closer to achieving its mission. What will you be working on Your mission is to partner with the Security Squad engineering teams to build world-class products for our internal users. Identify and unlock opportunities across the security domain while aligning your plans with the overall platform and Wise strategy. Collaborate with many different functions across Wise to gather, understand and translate user needs into impactful security products. Work with product engineering teams and enable them to stay on top of their security risks, achieving compliance without slowing down progress towards our mission. Deliver large scale security programs, getting adoption for new products and evangelising them across the engineering organisation. What do you need? We are fully aware that it is uncommon for a candidate to have all skills required and we fully support everyone in learning new skills with us. So if you have some of those listed below and are eager to learn more we do want to hear from you You have at least 4 years of experience in technical product management or similar. You can independently identify and leverage insights to learn about problems in the security domain and understand how to measure the impact of potential opportunities. You can navigate a highly ambiguous problem space and structure it into clear outcomes and manageable deliverables. You have a proven track record of delivering large scale programs requiring cross-team collaboration affecting a large part of the organisation. You understand operational challenges and are able to balance the needs of customers with the needs of your engineering teams. You speak the language of engineers and work effectively with them, both as part of your own engineering team and as your customers. You communicate clearly and effectively, influence without authority and get buy-in for your plans from the wider organisation. You have a good understanding of the developer journey and how to integrate security throughout the whole software development life cycle. Previous experience working in cloud security or similar security-related fields is beneficial. Additional Information For everyone, everywhere.
