Responsibilities:

  • Use safety analysis skills across the full system lifecycle: from requirements analysis (including bids and contracting); through design, and development; to system integration, acceptance testing, delivery, and in-service support
  • Undertaking complex safety analysis using techniques such as Fault Tree Analysis and Event Tree Analysis
  • Be required to complete safety requirements capture and management, hazard identification and analysis, hazard data management, application of the ALARP principle, creation/maintenance of safety documentation, and continuous improvement of the safety management system.
  • Supporting Hazard Identification and Analysis studies.
  • Document and present the outcomes of safety analysis to stakeholders & Clients


Experience required:

  • Experience across several safety engineering lifecycle phases
  • An understanding of 'Safety and Systems Engineering' and of the 'Engineering Life Cycle Management'
  • Experience having worked as a Safety engineer on defense projects – Ideally Submarine related
  • Must be eligible to obtain SC-level security clearance
  • Previous experience using MATLAB and Enterprise Architect
