A well-established regional Insurance Broker based in Surrey is looking for aSenior Data Engineerto join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop a brand-new Enterprise Data Warehouse from scratch, using cutting-edge technologies. As the Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines, and developing Power BI reports and dashboards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines usingdbt
• ImplementData Vault 2.0and dimensional modelling techniques
• Build and maintain interactive reports and dashboards inPower BI
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and deliver on reporting requirements
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across all data pipelines
• UseAzure Synapse Analytics, Purview, Fivetran, andAzure DevOpsto build and manage the data warehouse
• Support and mentor team members with less Data Warehouse experience

Key Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in data engineering or related roles, with strong proficiency inSQL
• Expertise inData Vault 2.0anddimensional modelling
• Hands-on experience withdata ingestionandtransformation
• Experience withPower BIfor developing reports and dashboards
• Knowledge ofdata warehouse conceptsand architectures
• Familiarity withAzure Synapse Analyticsand other cloud-based data solutions
• Experience withAzure DevOpsor similar version control systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the wider business
