Senior Data Analyst - 12 month Fixed Term Contract

We have an incredible opportunity to join us here at Phoenix Group as a Senior Data Analyst to join our In House Incident Delivery team. 

Job Type: Fixed Term Contract - 12 months

Location:This role could be based in London, Edinburgh, Telford or Wythall, but can predominantly be performed in a hybrid manner with the potential for remote working.

Flexible working: All of our roles are open to part-time, job-share and other types of flexibility. We will discuss what is important to you and balancing this with business requirements during the recruitment process. 

Closing Date:22 June (23:59)

Salary and benefits: Up to £67,500 depending on experience, plus 16% bonus up to 32%, private medical cover, 38 days annual leave, excellent pension, 12x salary life assurance, career breaks, income protection, 3x volunteering days and much more

The role

In this role, you will leverage your expertise in data analytics, large data manipulation, reporting, and process optimisation to drive incident remediation. You will also play a critical role in supporting decision-making by providing actionable insights and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data across systems. 

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have the ability to make effective decisions under pressure, thinking analytically and looking to solve problems. Knowledge of analysis methodology and practices as well as legacy Standard Life systems would be key as well as strong knowledge of life and pensions. You will:

Be able to comfortably work with the wider Incident management project team, . Project leads/BAs in the effective delivery of solutions Act as the knowledge expert on 1 or more projects Lead in designing and implementing solutions which may include production of Data & Mailing Extracts, Workaround Specification and Data Fixes Have proven stakeholder management experience with internal customers Ideally have existing knowledge of Standard Life legacy systems; IMS, DB2 databases, SQL and strong Excel skillsare essential Provide technical support and training to team members on data-related tools and processes
