Are you ready to make a difference in the water & waste industry?

TheSenior Data Analystpartners with business units across Water, Waste, and Customer functions to develop analytics products that uncover insights, identify trends and anomalies, and highlight opportunities for improvement. By applying advanced data and analytical methods, you will help answer critical business questions and drive strategic and operational enhancements.

You will require a understanding of the business domains supported, allowing the team to proactively identify high-impact analytics opportunities. In addition to delivering analytical solutions, you will work closely with the wider team function to support business engagement, co-design solutions, manage delivery, and ensure alignment with data governance standards.

As a senior member of the team, you will provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior analysts—promoting best practices in data preparation, analysis, and communication. Proficiency in tools such asPower BI,Alteryx, andR/Pythonis essential, along with strong skills in statistical modelling.

Effective communication and data storytelling are critical to engaging stakeholders, influencing decisions, and driving change. You will also be involved in working collaboratively with other teams—such as Business Intelligence, Data Governance, Platform & Operations, and Data Science—to ensure alignment, share knowledge, and deliver joined-up data solutions that add value across the organisation.

Responsibilities to include:

Working alongside key stakeholders to understand strategic goals and analytics needs to shape work Design ,Develop and deploy data and analytics products to support business outcomes Technical Leadership of Data Analyst to guide their work Continuous personal and department wide development and improvement

Skills and experience needed:

Curious – interested in asking questions about what, how or why Organised and capable of managing competing priorities Passionate about influencing change through data Able to design and develop complex, end to end analytics products with Stakeholders and teams Drive strategic change by influencing business processes through intelligent decision support, leveraging data storytelling to present compelling, insight-driven narratives. Critical thinking Dynamic problem solving Proactive approach to learning and exploring new technologies Adaptability

Technical:

Experience working in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics or related roles, Demonstrable experience in driving data informed decisions Understanding of Agile practices in a development environment Experience in data and analytics technologies such as Alteryx, Power BI or similar such as Tableau and other modern visualisation platforms Experience in coding and querying languages such as Python or R Strong grasp of statistical methods, hypothesis testing, regression and forecasting Experimental design and causal inference
