Job Title: Senior Data Analyst

What You’ll be doing:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-orientated Senior Data Analyst to join our Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data analysis (descriptive, predictive, forecasting) and visualisation, as well as expertise in leveraging Microsoft Fabric to transform raw data into actionable insights. The role will focus on generating Management Information (MI) through automated solutions and providing analytical insights to support decision-making processes across the organisation.

As a Senior Data Analyst at KBS Maritime, you will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making within the organisation and for our clients (MOD). You will work with various business areas and information sources, including MOD asset information and operational business information used for the delivery of our client contract (FMSP) and the operation of the KBS Maritime business.

In this role, you will be instrumental in the entire analytical product development life cycle, from collaboration with stakeholders to identify data and reporting requirements through to hands-on solution architecting, development, implementation and maintenance.

You’ll Have:

Proven experience in a similar Senior Analyst role, coupled with hands on experience delivering Business Intelligence (BI) reporting and analytical solutions and, experience and knowledge spanning a variety of statistical methods and techniques (descriptive analytics, predictive/forecast modelling). With proficiency in the Microsoft SAAS stack, including Power BI for creating advanced visualisations and reports, Fabric and Power Platform, you’ll also be able to evidence strong SQL skills and experience transforming large datasets.

Experience with ETL procedures and Data Engineering (Dataflows and Data pipelines) is preferred, along with experience in using programming languages (SQL, M query, KQL, Python, R) and formula/expression languages (DAX). First-hand experience of Agile methodologies (Scrum framework) is desirable, and industry certification held in Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL300) / Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP600)

You’ll have excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to be able to produce the desired solutions, in addition to excellent time-management skills to link a variety of projects and be able to showcase exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to meet the standards recognised through internal stakeholders and customer.
