Senior Credit Data Analyst Data Analyst (12 months FTC)

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract Full Time

Location: Bradford, Petersfield or London

Working Pattern: Hybrid—typically one to two days a week in the office. Flexible arrangements are considered to support work-life balance. We aim to match your existing flexible working arrangements where possible.

The Role

As a Senior Credit Risk Data Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the data landscape that underpins our credit risk strategies. You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality, insightful management information using tools like SQL, Power BI, and Excel, tailored to the needs of stakeholders across the business. Working closely with IT, Data & Analytics, and Credit Risk teams, you’ll help define and build scalable data infrastructure, support governance efforts, and ensure our data is accurate, accessible, and aligned with regulatory standards. Your expertise will drive responsible lending and business growth, while your collaborative approach will foster strong relationships across Credit, Product, and Technology.

As a Senior Credit Risk Data Analyst, you will:

  • Support the business data architects to ensure Credit Risk data is fit for purpose and optimised for analytical work, with new data sources integrated as required.
  • Support the development of reporting systems to monitor financial risks associated with the business model, in the form of period management and credit committee reports.
  • Deliver clear, concise management information (MI) and dashboards using Power BI and Excel, tailored to stakeholder needs.
  • Define and support data infrastructure requirements to enable scalable and reliable reporting and analytics.
  • Act as Data Steward delegate for all Credit Risk data as required.
  • Support prioritising of Data Governance efforts across Credit Risk, ensuring colleagues understand their data responsibilities.
  • Support the adoption of next generation tools to reduce reporting, analytics and scorecard development time.
  • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships across Credit, Product, and Technology teams to ensure alignment and effective delivery.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and workflows, promoting a DevOps culture and adherence to governance frameworks.
  • Mentor junior analysts and support cross-functional knowledge sharing to build team capability.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience with reporting and analytics tools, ideally Power BI, with the ability to build clear, insightful dashboards and visualisations.
  • Proficient in SQL/SAS for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex issues and present solutions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable working independently to manage tasks and priorities, while also contributing positively to team collaboration and shared goals.
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles and agile ways of working, including version control, iterative delivery, and continuous improvement.
