Oracle’s Software Assurance organization aims to make application security and software assurance scalable. We are a diverse team of architects, researchers, and engineers working on innovative, secure solutions within a large enterprise environment and a greenfield project.

Work You’ll Do

We seek a Security Data Analyst to join our team. You will design and develop platforms analyzing large datasets for security and compliance, leveraging your cybersecurity expertise to identify threats and embed secure coding practices throughout development.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years in software/platform development/engineering across web, mobile, back end, ad tech, or analytics dataflows.
  • Experience with data management, automation, and scalable platform development.
  • Ability to handle large datasets and design scalable systems.
  • Strong API development skills with REST or gRPC.
  • Programming skills in Python, Go, Java, or similar.
  • Knowledge of data science concepts and tools like Jupyter, pandas, etc.
  • Experience with API testing and security tools such as Postman, Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP.
  • Familiarity with database systems like MySQL.
  • Experience with security frameworks and standards.
  • Knowledge of performance optimization for mobile apps.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, collaboration, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • OCI cloud services experience.
  • Experience with AI or machine learning in security.
  • Agile methodology and project management tools knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Software Assurance programs.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop secure, high-performance data analysis platforms.
  • Collaborate to define data rules and flows, ensuring auditability.
  • Conduct threat analysis and manage security vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure security compliance, privacy, and best practices.
  • Automate controls for monitoring and reporting.
  • Maintain data integrity with MySQL queries.
  • Develop dashboards and tools for security insights.
  • Stay updated on security trends and improve architecture.
  • Document architecture and decisions clearly.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance.
