Job Description:

Oracle’s Software Assurance organization aims to make application security and software assurance scalable. We are a diverse team of architects, researchers, and engineers working on innovative security solutions. Currently, we are developing a greenfield software assurance project.

Work You’ll Do

We are seeking a Security Data Analyst responsible for designing and developing a platform to analyze large datasets for security and compliance. You will leverage cybersecurity expertise to identify threats and ensure secure coding practices are integrated into development processes.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years in software/platform development or engineering across web, mobile, or analytics dataflows
  • Experience building automated, scalable data platforms
  • Proficiency in handling large datasets and designing scalable systems
  • Strong API development skills (REST, gRPC)
  • Programming skills in Python, Go, Java, or similar
  • Knowledge of data science concepts and tools (Jupyter, pandas, etc.)
  • Experience with API testing and security tools (Postman, Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP)
  • Knowledge of database systems like MySQL
  • Hands-on experience with security frameworks and standards
  • Understanding of performance optimization for mobile apps
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with OCI cloud services
  • Knowledge of machine learning or AI in security
  • Experience with Agile, JIRA, Confluence
  • Knowledge of Software Assurance programs

Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop a secure platform for analyzing API data in MySQL
  • Collaborate with teams to define data rules and flows
  • Conduct threat analysis on data flows
  • Ensure compliance and security best practices
  • Automate security controls and monitoring
  • Maintain data integrity with MySQL queries
  • Develop dashboards and reports
  • Create tools for security assessment
  • Stay updated on security trends
  • Document architecture and decisions
  • Mentor junior engineers
