What you will be doing inthis role: Reporting to the Director of Construction, the GridConnection Contracts Manager will be responsible for totalmanagement for the delivery of all BSR Grid connections, andpre-construction activities. Working with the EPC and Developmentteams, the Grid Connection Contracts Manager will be responsiblefor ensuring that all Grid connections and pre-constructionactivities meet their objectives, plan and complete works onbudget, programme and complete all Quality Assurance and Health andSafety requirements. The successful candidate must beself-motivated, pro-active and conscientious and used to working ina dynamic, fast-paced environment to tight dead-lines as theproject completion date is not negotiable. The nature of this rolerequires flexibility for extensive travel from the office to ourvarious sites and locations, with a requirement to occasionallystay away from home. A current British driving licence will berequired. What we need from you: Manage all Grid connectionsthrough the asset construction phase. Coordinate the Site, Grid,DNO and ICP teams to ensure a all connections are completed on timeand on budget. Manage all intrusive works completed prior to assetexecution. Ensure all operational requirements of Grid connectionsare accurately reflected in BSR property agreements prior toconstruction. Management of the key supplementary servicescontracts including electricity meter delivery. Maintain a clearunderstanding of overarching project priorities and maintain anoutcome driven focus Establish and manage programme and activityplans; Establish and coordinate project budgets, cost plan andconstruction quantities, with the QS; Identify, engage andnegotiate with suppliers and sub-contractors; Negotiate andestablish contracts for delivery of services, as required toexecute the construction works to meet program and budget; Maintainand monitor robust cost control and programme; Attend regulargeneral site and specific works package/ contractor meetings and tocontrol works; Manage variations and change across all workspackages with the QS team; See all aspects of project budgetprogramme and quality/H&S through to completion of works andclosure of all work packages; Skill requirement: Applicants musthave previous work experience in a similar role; Experience onelectrical projects would be an advantage; Excellent communicationskills and use of Microsoft suite; The use of Microsoft Project,would be desirable but not essential; Previous experience ofmanaging large construction/infrastructure projects; HND or degreequalification in construction, or similar equal experience;Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
