About the opportunity

The Digital & Data team work across our extensive portfolio of multi-disciplinary projects with major clients across all sectors. We are responsible for securing, incubating, building and running new and existing software products and solutions for our customers. You would be joining a team of fast-moving problem solvers working on diverse projects including cyber security, front end application development, detailed analytical and statistical modelling and innovation in areas from machine vision to big data processing using Cloud services and beyond.

In this role you will be required to work independently and as part of a team. This is a fast paced and exciting environment with opportunity to shape best practice across the business. This position is not only to be a developer but also to understand the customer need and desirability of features, translating these into apackaged Power Platform solution.

  • Full time employment with us is based on 40 hours per week but work-life balance and flexibility is a key focus area for Jacobs so we’re happy to discuss part-time and flexible working hours / patterns to suit you and our business.
  • This role is based on aHybridbasis from ourLondonoffice with weekly work on site at our client’s operation inThurrock, Essex.

You will work closely with the technical lead to help design, implement and build new solutions, providing you with exposure to all aspects of the process:

  • Design: engage in collaborative workshops with our end users to scope and wireframe an end-to-end solution which will meet customer needs in a timely, secure, stable, consistent and scalable manner.
  • Build: develop and integrate the solution to meet the specification.
  • Test & Feedback: engaging in follow up workshops and testing that the end solutions both function as intended and meet the client needs.
  • Deploy & Run: deploying the solution into an end production environment and providing ongoing support where required.

We are seeking a critical thinker with an open mind who can be unique, continuously be challenged and is willing to challenge others. Mistakes are welcome, but being able to offer a solution is essential.

Here's what you'll need

  • A degree level education in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field plus professional experience in developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps (canvas and model driven apps), Power Automate, Power BI) and MS Dynamics 365.
  • Proficiency in data modelling, integration and customisation within Power Platform: knowledge of data architecture / design and experience and comfortable with Agile methodologies.
  • A combination of these certifications and experience - Power Platform (PL-900, PL-100, 200, 400, 600) | M365 Power Apps Center of Excellence (CoE) | DAX & M | Cloud / Azure knowledge (AZ-900) | D365 Administration & Development (MB-910 Certification).
  • Experience of working closely with Solution Architects and other IT teams to ensure the App’s environment aligns with overall IT strategies and goals.
