Senior Mechanical Engineer – Oxfordshire


I am working with a company who are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their multidisciplinary team working on cutting-edge technology that consumes significantly less energy than traditional electronics. You’ll collaborate with experts in optics, optoelectronics, digital and analogue electronics, embedded software and AI/ML algorithms, contributing to a technology that is shaping the future. The Mechanical Engineer’s role will involve designing, analysing, and improving mechanical systems and components for the product while working closely with other engineers to develop innovative, high-impact solutions that meet industry standards.


Responsibilities as a Mechanical Engineer:

  • Design, and Develop compact, robust Opto-Mechanical systems for products, prototypes and optical testing
  • Work with the electronics team to develop system prototypes
  • Utilise CAD software to create detailed designs and engineering drawings
  • Conduct structural, material, and thermal analysis to optimise the performance and reliability of opto-mechanical system
  • Prototype builds, testing, and validation of opto-mechanical systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and performance requirements.
