Enso Recruitment is working on behalf of an innovative and mission-driven software company that is transforming how environmental data is used to make real-world impact. Our client is looking for a Data Analytics and Machine Learning Engineer to join their growing engineering team in Belfast. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in data science and a passion for developing predictive, real-time solutions that help reduce environmental harm. The Opportunity: In this role, youll work as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team developing and enhancing data-driven systems that deliver early warnings to utility providers. The work involves exploring sensor and time-series data, designing robust machine learning models, and integrating those solutions into an established cloud-based software platform. Youll take ownership of your contributions while working closely with other engineers and stakeholders to design, test and deliver new product features. What youll be doing: Developing predictive models using sensor data and time-series analysis Presenting ideas and solutions internally and to customers Engaging with end users to understand project requirements and support integration Contributing to the continuous improvement of machine learning and alerting systems Exploring datasets to identify trends, anomalies and opportunities for optimisation Implementing and testing features through to live deployment Supporting the product with bug fixes, improvements and feedback What were looking for: 2+ years' experience in a data-driven role (Data Science, Analytics, or ML Engineering) Proficiency in Python and libraries like Pandas and scikit-learn Confidence working with data visualisation tools and techniques Strong communication and team collaboration skills A proactive mindset, with a commitment to high standards and continuous learning It would be great if you also have: A postgraduate qualification (MSc/PhD) in a relevant field Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS Knowledge of agile development and CI/CD workflows Experience working with binary or pump-related datasets Skills: data analytics machine learning data science aws Python
