The Network Modelling Team is at the forefront of optimising our network, through design and modelling on cutting edge supply chain technology, to adapt the most iconic and historic logistics operation in the country to the fast-paced demands of the modern world. About the Role

 

As a Logistics Data Analyst, you’ll report to the Strategic Network Modelling Senior Manager and support the development of repeatable network models and analytical tools. You’ll work with large datasets to deliver insights, build Power BI dashboards, and support strategic decision-making across Royal Mail’s transformation programme. We are building our in house capabilities, with this role seen as a key development role, with a clear longer term succession pathway.


Key Responsibilities:

 

•    Design and develop network models to support strategic planning.
•    Process and prepare data for use in Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru (SCG).
•    Analyse network performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
•    Build Power BI applications to visualise model outputs and insights.
•    Learn and apply Data Guru (part of the SCG suite) for data processing.
•    Deliver repeatable, streamlined, and controlled data processes.
•    Explore and implement automation opportunities to enhance data workflows.

 

About You

 

You’re a curious and analytical thinker with a strong foundation in data science and logistics. You’re comfortable working with complex datasets, visualising insights, and collaborating across teams to drive transformation.

 

What You’ll Bring:

 

•    Highly inquisitive mindset with strong attention to detail.
•    Excellent interpersonal and data presentation skills.
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
•    Advanced skills in Excel and Power BI (Data Guru/Alteryx desirable).
•    Experience in logistics operations, ideally in mail, parcel, or network environments.
•    Proven ability to design and build data models and deliver actionable insights.
•    Degree in data science, mathematics, technology, or a related analytical field.
