3 MonthsSalt Recruitment's Local Government contract team is currently supporting a West Midlands-based Local Authority in their search for an experienced Lead Reporting and Data Analyst. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a crucial role in overseeing statutory reporting for Children's Social Care, ensuring data accuracy, and leading a team of three Data Analysts.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and maintenance of statutory and operational reporting for Children's Social CareManage and mentor a team of three Data Analysts, ensuring high-quality data outputsProvide technical leadership in data warehousing, SQL scripting, and reportingDevelop Power BI dashboards and SSRS reports to support operational decision-makingEnsure data integrity and compliance with GDPR and other regulationsWork closely with Children's Services, Business Systems Analysts (Mosaic), and other departments to align reporting with service needsChampion the use of agile methodologies within the team to improve efficiency

Essential Skills & Experience:

Proven experience in statutory reporting for Children's Social CareStrong knowledge of data warehouse architecture and SQL scriptingHands-on experience with Power BI dashboards and SSRS reportingFamiliarity with Children's Social Care case management systems (ideally Mosaic)Previous experience managing a team of Data Analysts or similar rolesExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to lead on BI and reporting solutions to drive service improvement
