Key Stage 2 Class Teacher – Full-Time, Permanent

A welcoming and high-achieving primary school in Hertfordshire is looking to appoint a dedicated and inspiring KS2 Class Teacher from September 2025. This is a fantastic full-time, permanent opportunity for an ambitious and reflective teacher to join a school that places children’s wellbeing, creativity, and achievement at the centre of its mission.

About the Role

You will be joining a well-established, supportive KS2 team within a school that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional autonomy. Whether you’re an experienced practitioner or an Early Career Teacher, you’ll be supported to thrive in your role and make a meaningful impact.

Key responsibilities include:



Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that promote deep learning and high achievement

*

Creating a calm, safe and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils are encouraged to take ownership of their learning

*

Using assessment and feedback to drive progress and support individual learning needs

*

Building strong, respectful relationships with pupils, families and colleagues

*

Contributing to whole-school events, initiatives and curriculum development

Person Specification

We are seeking a committed, enthusiastic teacher with a passion for developing confident, independent learners.

Essential criteria include:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

*

Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (either in training or in post)

*

Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment practices

*

Effective behaviour management and the ability to motivate and support all learners

*

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

*

A collaborative, reflective approach and commitment to ongoing professional growth
