About The Role
Are you ready to kickstart your career in data engineering? As a Junior Data Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and reliable data pipelines and infrastructure. Working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams, you’ll help deliver clean, accessible, and high-quality data that drives critical business decisions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a foundational understanding of data engineering concepts eager to develop their skills further.
Key responsibilities include:

Assisting in the development and maintenance of data pipelines for collecting, transforming, and storing data from multiple sources.
Supporting data validation and quality assurance tasks to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Monitoring data flows and resolving basic issues under guidance from more experienced team members.
Collaborating with business analysts, data scientists, and senior engineers to understand data requirements.
Contributing to data documentation and process mapping to improve transparency and maintainability.
Adhering to company standards for data privacy, security, and compliance (e.g., GDPR).
Learning and applying best practices in data engineering and staying current with industry trends and technologies.

The ideal Junior Data Engineer will have:

Some hands-on experience with data engineering tasks through academic projects or entry-level roles.
An educational background in computer science, data science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field (degree or equivalent experience).
Familiarity with programming and scripting languages such as Python and SQL.
Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred, but AWS or GCP beneficial).
Basic understanding of data pipelines, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes.
Awareness of data quality principles and version control systems like Git is a plus.
Willingness to learn about data governance, metadata management, and security practices.
