Job Description The Company This is an excellentchance to join a prominent food manufacturer producing innovativechilled products for the UK retailers and brands. Highly ambitiousand passionate about good food, they are now looking for aPackaging Specialist / Senior Packaging Developer who can helpdrive packaging innovation within the business. The Role Reportingto the Packaging Development Manager, you will work closely withcustomers and packaging suppliers to create concepts that are ontrend in terms of new materials, sustainability and recyclinginitiatives. You will attend customer product submissions topresent your proposals, creating graphical mock-ups to enhance andclearly communicate your concepts. This role will see youguaranteeing successful product launches with packaging thatdelivers on both innovation and quality. You will work withstakeholders to manage expectations and deliver effective solutionsto an agreed critical path, working closely with the NPD team. Youwill also provide comprehensive support throughout themanufacturing process by reviewing output to refine design andensure the pack is fit for purpose. Your vision for innovation willembody both existing and new ranges, allowing concepts to translateinto robust and tangible commercial solutions that really stand outin the marketplace. The Person We are looking for a creative andtechnically proficient Packaging Developer, ideally with aPackaging Technology, Food Technology or Product Design degree. Aninterest in graphic design would be great along with workingknowledge of adobe packages such as photoshop and illustrator. Youwill already have a great understanding of food packagingsubstrates, sustainable materials and trends from your time withinthe food industry or with a packaging supplier / manufacturer.You're now looking to utilise your experience in a more senior rolewhere you can help deliver the packaging strategy for your businessand key customers. You will enjoy the challenge of working in afast-paced environment, are analytical in your approach but canthink on your feet and be just as happy doing EPD as you are NPD.You will be highly adept at working collaboratively with internalteams, suppliers and customers, being able to communicate yourideas confidently to all stakeholders. This is a hybrid role withtravel between group sites and to customer HQs. A driving licenceis required.
