As a Head of Data you will take over a small permanent team, a few contractors and the management of a third party. The aim of this Head of Data role however, is to grow out the function. The growth in the Data function is a big part but beyond that, they will need you to be able to navigate the business and demonstrate the value of Data to the business. They are relatively new on their Data journey so this person will need to be able to own all areas of Data including AI/ML, Data Engineering, Data Governance & Analytics. One thing they do have is a huge customer base and are very profitable, meaning there is a big chance for this Head of Data to have a strong impact.
