About the role

Bonsai Labs went through a fast scaling period for a services company, from 2 to 10 engineers within 9 months. Our clients went on to raise $100M+ in VC funding as a result of the AI solutions we’ve developed. We’re planning to further accelerate growth to 20-30 AI engineers in 2025, and we’re looking for an exceptional AI leader who is ready to lead multiple projects and teams.


Who we’re looking for

  • Machine Learning mastery: 5+ years experience building ML applications, strong mathematics background, NLP and LLM experience a big plus.
  • Software Engineering fundamentals: understanding of core software engineering principlies, familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and building scalable systems
  • Urgency & Commitment: A high drive for results, managing tight deadlines effectively.
  • Clear Communication: both written and spoken, able to handle client-facing communication, and practice radical candor within team management.
  • First Principle Thinking: Ability to dissect complex problems and devise innovative solutions.
  • Continuous Learning: Eagerness to keep up with emerging AI trends and contribute to a culture of improvement.
  • European timezone: you’re based within +/- 2 hrs GMT, and willing to travel across Europe.

  • We have a fast and flexible hiring process, that makes sure that every new joiner is a perfect culture fit within our company.
  • 3 step interview process:
  • Initial intro call with founder - 30 mins
  • AI interview (theory + system design) - 60 mins
  • Live coding interview - 45 mins
