Role Overview:
As a Digital Engineer supporting the Digital Engineering Lead, you will play a critical role in the delivery of digital infrastructure projects for a major Naval Nuclear client. You will work across various stages of project delivery, from scoping and process design through to implementation, testing and deployment . Your technical input will directly contribute to maintaining and enhancing digital infrastructure to meet operational, safety, and compliance requirements.
While the Digital Engineering Lead will oversee and guide your work, your role will require a hands-on, detail-oriented approach and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Work transparently with various engineering discipline leads / teams to provide clear and concise reports and information regarding progress and management of Risk and Opportunities in relation to the Engineering activities.
Bring learnings & operational best practices from other engagements.
Undertake technical and feasibility studies and site investigations .
Develop detailed requirement specifications.
Support projects as they evolve through the project engineering lifecycles.
Assess the potential risks of specific projects, as well as undertake risk management in specialistroles
Communicate and liaise effectively with a wide set of project stakeholders
Support governance meetings.
Think both creatively, logically, and strategically to resolve design and development problems
Be adaptable, as project requirements evolve, and ensure relevant parties are notified of changes in the project
Compile and peer review project and technical reports.

Work Experience
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelors degree (minimum) in Engineering , Software, IT or a closely related discipline.
Knowledge and awareness of assessing data and producing summary reports.
Able to develop a project specification with colleagues, often including those from other engineering disciplines.
Able to produce details of specifications, outline designs and recommend modifications.
Proficient in research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills.
Able to consider the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints.
Desirable Skills:
Good Communication skills - Makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens effectively; clarifies information as needed.
Experience or awareness of dockyard, defence, marine, or infrastructure projects.
Ability to handle discussions / communications independently.
Works in a Collaborative environment.
Ability to adapt to changing requirements and customer needs.
Solution orientated mindset and the ability to consider the bigger picture.
Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate+)
Comfortable working with unstructured data and building data pipelines .
A good awareness of data quality and structure.
An eye for detail.
