OVERVIEW

We are in search of facilitators to deliver our outstanding virtual/in-person education experiences.

Our Technology Facilitators run short-form workshops in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Innovation, and Programming. You will work with employees from a variety of sectors, helping shape their understanding of technology and ability to effectively engage with technical teams.

You can work remotely from anywhere in the GMT +2 to GMT + 3 time zones with travel within Europe and the Middle East for in person sessions.

  • We work in an area flooded with tech buzzwords (e.g. AI, machine learning, blockchain) — in your application show us how you would explain a buzz-wordy term to a room full of people that ‘get it’ but might have never ‘done it.’

  • We deliver training that is technology and innovation focused — see if your application can reflect this

ACCOUNTABILITIES

As a Freelance Technology Facilitator at Decoded, you are accountable for:

  • Delivering our product workshops to learners, at times alongside a co-facilitator

  • Delivering our varied content to specific clients and industry sectors

  • Acting on feedback from peers, learners and the Decoded team


SPECIFIC ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Workshop Preparation

  • Reviewing exercises and other learning materials before a session

  • Learning about your learners and the businesses they work for

  • Familiarising yourself with the course structure and content, proactively filling gaps in your knowledge

  • Self-assessing your skills and taking up suitable training and professional development opportunities

Workshop delivery (in-person and virtual)

  • Delivering a 10/10 learning experience in each workshop

  • Communicating complex technology concepts and techniques with energy, focus and patience

  • Engaging and captivating the attention of a room of busy working professionals

  • Collaborating with your co-facilitator to give each session a consistent and balanced pace and tone

  • Facilitating the learning journey for your audience, and leaving no-one behind whilst also providing stimulation for advanced learners

  • Enabling an inclusive, collaborative and respectful learning environment

  • Submitting written feedback to our internal teams to enable constant improvements to the content and logistics of each workshop

  • You are comfortable public speaking and educating any audience — from teenagers to CEOs. You are confident in your skills at communicating about data, coding or cyber security related technologies. You are in love with technology and learning.

  • Our facilitation style is built on:

  • Our Freelance Technology Facilitators are a community of technology education superstars. They are confident yet humble and are passionate about giving their learners confidence in the skills required for the future of work.

TEAM & REPORTING STRUCTURE

This role will report into the Product Resource Manager


DAY-TO-DAY

Freelance Technology Facilitators are allocated session delivery on a month by month basis, depending on your availability and our requirements. There is no guarantee of work each month.

Our workshops range from 1 to 3.5 hours. We run many of our workshops online however we are looking specifically for people who want to deliver in the Greater London area, the UK, Europe and further afield. We are specifically looking for facilitators that will leap at the opportunity to see the world by facilitating sessions with us!

INTERVIEW PROCESS

  • You will be invited for an initial call if your CV meets the role’s requirements.

  • If successful, you will then be asked todesign and recordyourself presenting for 10 minutes a technical content lesson on a topic of your choice.

  • A full brief will be shared with you in advance.

  • Successful applicants at this stage will be invited to join Decoded’s Freelance Facilitation Team
