The role:

This person will be responsible for the initiation and delivery of procurement and financial data and reporting. They will own the use of data to support SJP’s focus on cost control and maximising value from SJP’s supplier base. They will be innovative in the use of financial and supplier data to support decision making and have a continuous improvement approach, including expanding the dataset where necessary and enhancing reporting.

What you'll be doing:

Use data from Group Expense Management key systems (including but not limited to ERP, Concur, CMS) to create, own and maintain reporting and dashboards on both SJP’s cost and supplier base. Engage key stakeholders to continually understand the business requirements of the data to ensure reporting is always relevant and insightful. Investigate data quality issues to understand root cause and identify remedial and preventative actions. Be a contributor to maintaining cost control and good supplier management and performance at SJP, through the use of data. Collaborate with the wider data team in the CFO Directorate and into the CDO.

Who we're looking for:

The ideal candidate will be a data enthusiast who is passionate about data accuracy, consistency, validity, integrity and the value that excellent data delivers to the organisation. They will be skilled in using data and reporting, in particular ERP systems, Power BI and SQL. They will have great interpersonal skills and be curious and enthusiastic about how data can be used to benefit SJP. They will have an excellent understanding of SJP’s cost and supplier basis and an innovative and forward-thinking mindset. They will be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Essential Criteria

Previous experience using Power BI, SQL and data from ERP systems. Genuine data enthusiast – passionate about the value excellent data can deliver. Advanced Excel skills. Effective and enthusiastic communicator. Creative problem-solving skills.
