NXTGEN are working with a well-established, growing business who are looking to appoint a Data Analyst to support their finance and leadership teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their analytical skills in a fast-paced commercial environment, with direct exposure to directors and senior stakeholders.

As a Data Analyst, you'll play a key role in turning complex data into meaningful insight, supporting key business decisions across multiple departments. The role is offered on a part-time basis (3 days per week) or a full time basis (5 days a week) with 2 days working from home, for a 6-12 month fixed-term contract. However this role is very likely to go permanent.

This Data Analyst position would suit someone early in their analytics or finance career who is confident working with Excel and is eager to gain hands-on experience in a commercial setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce regular data and financial reports to support business performance monitoring
Use Excel (including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables) to manage and analyse large data sets
Identify and explain trends, variances, and key metrics to senior stakeholders
Work with directors and department leads to support data-driven decision making
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes with insightful reporting
Respond to ad hoc data requests and support ongoing improvement projectsWe're looking for someone with strong Excel skills, including confidence using VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and general data manipulation. You'll need to have a strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail, as well as clear communication skills and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders. A proactive, can-do attitude and a genuine desire to learn are essential. Previous experience in a data or finance-related role, including internships or placements, would be highly beneficial.
