The team provide consultative services to our client's customers in all matters related to Artificial Intelligence in the financial crime compliance sector, with the aim of driving increased adoption of our client's AI-based financial crime solutions.
About the Role:
We're looking for an individual with proven track record leading a team in delivering Machine Learning models together with domain knowledge in the financial crime compliance sector. The team you'll run consists of roughly 40 data scientists and engineers etc and 4 Managers, who report directly into you. This is a global team spread across EMEA, South Africa and India.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Consulting:Deliver expert consultative services and solutions for financial crime compliance.
- Leadership & Team Development:Mentor and manage a geographically dispersed team of AI professionals.
- Delivery Management:Ensure timely and successful implementation of AI-based solutions with referenceable clients.
- Solution Development:Collaborate on product enhancements and drive continuous improvement in delivery methodologies.
- Customer Engagement:Lead client engagements, from pre-sales to post-delivery support, ensuring satisfaction and long-term success.
Skills & Experience Required:
- 10+ years of experience in financial crime compliance within consulting, regulatory bodies, or financial institutions.
- Proven expertise in delivering machine learning models in the financial services sector.
- Subject matter expertise in AI technologies, including Machine Learning and Generative AI.
- Proficiency with deep learning frameworks, Python, and data visualization tools.
- Experience with cloud-based machine learning model development and deployment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer-facing skills, including C-level engagement.
- MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or related fields.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and travel up to 30%.
