What you'll be doing

We are seeking a Development Project Manager who is skilled in managing complex software development projects from initiation through delivery and adept at handling various operational tasks. The ideal candidate has a background in software development or IT project management, strong leadership capabilities, and experience working within agile environments. This role requires close collaboration with developers, product managers, QA engineers, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Execution: Define project scope, create detailed project plans, and manage timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Team Coordination: Facilitate communication and collaboration across development, QA, product, and other relevant teams to drive project progress and resolve dependencies.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues, and gathering feedback to align project goals with business needs.
  • Agile Methodologies: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other agile ceremonies to foster an agile environment and ensure project alignment with business goals.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies. Resolve issues efficiently to keep projects on track.
  • Vendor and Purchase Order (PO) Management: Create and process POs, manage vendor relationships, and interface with external partners to support project and operational needs.
  • Quality Assurance: Work with QA teams to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and user acceptance criteria before release.
  • Miscellaneous Operational Support: Provide support for other administrative and operational tasks, including managing documentation, tracking budgets, and assisting with other team needs as they arise.
  • Continuous Improvement: Gather insights from completed projects to refine processes, improve team performance, and enhance overall project outcomes.


Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience (3+ years) as a Development Project Manager, Technical Project Manager, or similar role within a software development environment.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban) and experience leading agile teams.
  • Experience with vendor management and creating/managing purchase orders.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project) and communication tools (e.g., Slack, Microsoft Teams).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and foster collaboration.
  • Problem-solving mindset with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with software development languages and tools is a plus (e.g., JavaScript, Python, or similar).
Preferred Qualifications 
  • PMP, Scrum Master, or Agile Coach certification.
  • Background in managing remote or distributed teams
