As our newData Visualisation Manager, you’ll have the chance to lead a dynamic team of approximately 10 people, shape our approach to data visualisation, and make a tangible impact on the strategic decisions of the organisation. • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Data Visualisation Specialists to deliver compelling insights through innovative visualisations. 

• Collaborate closely with data engineering, data architecture, data governance, digital product, and business teams to ensure a cohesive approach to data management and visualisation across the enterprise. 

• Oversee the creation and maintenance of dashboards and reports using Tableau, ensuring they meet business requirements, deliver value\business impact, and align with best practices. 

• Support the wider data visualisation community of practice, providing guidance and training to users across the business in the use of Tableau and in delivering effective visualisation in a self-service environment. 

• Drive the adoption of best practices in data visualisation and ensure consistency in the application of visualisation standards across the enterprise. 

• Engage stakeholders to understand their data needs and strategic priorities and translate them into actionable insights and visualisations. 

• Maintain a high level of expertise in data visualisation techniques and software, staying current with industry trends and advancements. 

• Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team and across the organisation. 

• Ensure the quality, accuracy, and consistency of all data visualisations produced by the team. 

• Proven experience in a data visualisation role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating innovative and high-quality visualisations. 

• Demonstrable skills in translating complex business requirements into strategic and innovative data visualisations. 

• Expertise in Tableau is essential; experience with other visualisation tools is a plus. Having the Tableau Certified Data Analyst qualification would be an advantage, as would any demonstrable involvement with the wider Tableau or equivalent data visualisation community. 

• Strong understanding of data visualisation best practices and the ability to apply these to create effective and engaging visualisations. 

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail. 

• Experience in leading and developing a team, with a focus on fostering collaboration and innovation. 

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across the organisation, and at all levels up to and including C-suite.
