Job Description

Your role as a Data Scientist

Create and own the data science roadmap ensuring delivery of demonstrable real value to Greene King Develop a suite of data science solutions from predictive statistical models to customer segmentations to AI / ML decision engines in order to meet business requirements and ensure a move towards data led operational decisions Own the data science environment and tools driving constant development and enhancement to these Own processes for continued monitoring and assessment of data science solutions to ensure the continued accuracy and effectiveness of these Act as a key contributor to the valuation of all digital activities and attribution of sales value through techniques such as econometrics Ensure stories are told from the data science solutions which remove the complexity and ensure optimal value generation through business adoption while also promoting the analytics team and its outputs Business partner with CRM and Product teams to ensure business requirements relating to data science are fully understood and solutions can be implemented effectively Business partner with wider business teams eg IT, People analytics, finance etc to create a single data science forum and community across Greene King Manage the data science team of highly skilled junior data scientists ensuring optimal work delivery and employee satisfaction Act as a data steward to review and optimise the data quality across the digital landscape

What you'll bring...

Advanced degree level qualification in a relevant subject eg mathematics, statistics, computer science etc 5+ years of experience in data science related roles Expert in Python Expert in SQL and other coding languages and platforms Expert in statistical modelling and relevant software / platforms Proficient with A/B and control group testing including significance testing Experience with tools such as Power BI and Looker for data visualisation Experience in a fast-paced multi-brand industry Strong stakeholder management experience at various levels of an organisation Proven ability to solve complex problems using data but translate these into easy to understand / digest outputs Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex and technical subject matter to none specialists Proven ability to spot trends and patterns within data and drive commercial impact / benefit from these Expert in Microsoft tools including Excel and Powerpoint
