What you’ll be doing:

Reporting to our Data Governance Manager, in this role your key responsibilities will be assisting in the rollout of an enterprise-wide data governance framework, with a key focus on one or more of the following areas:
You’ll drive the adoption and implementation of an enterprise data catalogue solution to document data assets across our business including identification and upskilling of data owners, curation of the catalogue and embedding usage of the catalogue across our analytics teams and tooling to drive increased awareness of data, better enable access and usage of data and encourage collaboration amongst our data analyst communities. Defining data standards and data quality rules working in collaboration with data delivery teams and self-service analytics users to ensure standards are appropriate and embedded into delivery practices. Working with stakeholders across data, security, legal and the business to develop and implement new and existing data policies around the use and management of data both at source and for analytical purposes. Ensuring that all policies are regularly updated and communicated to relevant stakeholders with appropriate training, support and monitoring in place. You’ll assist in the set-up and running of a Data Governance Steering Group and co-chair associated working groups to drive the adoption of data governance across the organisation.
What you’ll have:
Experience working in data governance-related roles, which could include data policy development, data catalogue or data quality tooling.Excellent communication skills are essential for this role as you will be expected to proactively engage with a wide variety of stakeholders from across our business covering both technical and non-technical roles across all levels of seniority up to and including Director and C-Suite.Ideally, you will also have:
Familiarity with data analytics platforms and delivery would be a distinct advantage including experience working with data engineering, data analytics, data visualisation and data science teams using platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, Google Cloud Platform, DBT, Snowflake Cloud Data Platform, Tableau and Dataiku (or similar).
