We are expanding our operations and part of this expansion, we are investing in our next generation systems. To support this, we are looking for an Application Data Specialist, a crucial role in the ongoing development and integration of data models across strategic technology platforms, tools and systems utilised by business to drive productivity and set up the business for success for working in the digital age.

Main Responsibilities

The Key duties off the role will be, 

The main function of the role will be to have responsibility for the ongoing development and integration of data models across strategic technology platforms, tools and systems utilised by business to drive productivity and set up the business for success for working in the digital age. The role will also have responsibility for the management of data governance processes as well as access to information from across the systems. It will also take the lead on reporting and financial administration to ensure that the IT team provides the business with the information and support it needs. Your will be responsible for creating and maintaining master data dictionary to lay the Business Intelligence foundation and clearly distinguish GxP, non-GxP, PII and non-PII data points. You will act as the key data expert on our strategic initiatives and major projects to ensure data-first approach. You will establish and champion the best practices around data standards, modelling, and governance. You will be on hand to support troubleshooting and resolving complex data issues for business processes that cut across multiple systems and business teams. This role will be bring in practical knowledge and experience of data within an integrated Application landscape (Salesforce Eco system - Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud, Veeva CTMS, eTMF, ERP, BI, middleware). You will work closely with external partners to deliver on key system projects and use your industry knowledge to drive efficiencies while providing a single voice for business data requirements. Support in projects will require the implementation of validation plans, risk assessments, SOP documentation, progression and version-controlled deployment of system, creation and execution of tests, logging of defects and on-going maintenance. Due to the nature of our IT model; duties will be split between project work and day to day support, and general IT support for end users. Ticketing and support will be used for validation trend analysis of your ‘owned’ systems. The role will require you to take interest and learn about the latest technical applications and systems as the role and needs of the company develop. This may also include additional training provided by the company where required.

Skills & Experiences

Skills and experience,

Experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast paced, Healthcare/Pharma/CRO environment. Experience supporting major enterprise business change initiatives form data perspective, developing and applying data best practices. Demonstrable experience in implementing and driving data quality management, designing data security & privacy controls, and supporting wider data strategy efforts. Experience implementing and managing best practices across data management lifecycle. Excellent data modelling skills across different level of abstraction and target applications. Experience creating and managing canonical data models at Enterprise level across multiple business units. Experience implementing data management tooling and platforms covering data quality, lineage, cataloguing, access management and GDPR compliance. Strong knowledge of industry best practices around data architecture in both cloud-based and on-premises solutions. This included good exposure to data technologies in the cloud across multiple providers (Azure, AWS, GCP). Experience working across and integrating different data platforms including big data, reporting, integration, process automation and CRM capabilities. Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills when working with both business and technical teams. An influencer who can articulate arguments well and is comfortable working with a wide range of people from different areas of the business and at different levels of seniority. A strong natural focus on what matters; delivering value and designing to minimise risk. Hands-on experience of working through the end-to-end project lifecycle with exposure to both Waterfall and Agile methodologies. The ability to work across multiple projects in parallel and the ability to contribute to wider group strategies.
