The Role

As a Data Engineer at Truespeed, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our data infrastructure and ensuring the reliability of our data systems. Working closely with the Data Analytics team, you’ll develop and maintain data pipelines, data storage, and systems to provide seamless data access for all business functions.

Key Responsibilities:

*    Design and deliver scalable, reliable, and highly available data pipelines
*    Develop data schemas and contracts to ensure consistency and quality
*    Implement and maintain data systems, including databases and data warehouses
*    Support data governance, security, and compliance initiatives
*    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data resources
*    Develop and maintain operational processes for data reliability and system automation
*    Utilise geospatial data and support ETL pipelines, including DBT and Data Mesh frameworks
*    Contribute to the development of data engineering practices and principles

The Ideal Candidate:

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in data engineering, who can bring both technical expertise and a passion for improving business processes through data. The ideal candidate is an innovative thinker, thrives in a collaborative environment, and has a strong understanding of data management practices. About you:

*    Extensive experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL, Graph) and data engineering tools
*    Knowledge of cloud databases like Google BigQuery or AWS Redshift
*    Proficient in Linux/Unix OS and containerization tools (Docker, Podman)
*    Familiarity with ETL pipelines and data processing frameworks (DBT, Data Mesh)
*    Programming experience in Python, Bash/Shell, and Java
*    Experience in handling geospatial data is a plus
*    Strong understanding of data governance, compliance, and security
*    Familiarity with telecom industry data (desirable but not essential)
*    Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
